Paul M. Schwan is the son of the company's founder, the late Marvin M. Schwan, and joined the company's board of directors in September of 2012. Paul Schwan's involvement with the company began in the 1970s working in marketing, manufacturing and home-delivery route sales. In 1989, he was named the operations director for the company's European operations. After assisting with the design, construction and staffing of the company's first international manufacturing facility, he repatriated to lead the newly acquired Chicago Brothers business as its CEO. Paul also served as a member of the company's senior staff.
Paul holds an MBA in finance from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the same institution. He is also a graduate of The Public Director Development Program (Directors' Consortium) hosted by the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
Paul has dedicated significant time to leading change in non-profits where he has served in elected leadership positions at Reformation Lutheran Church, Ascension Lutheran Church and the national church body. He also serves as a member of the Trustee Succession Committee for the Marvin M. Schwan Charitable Foundation, established to benefit charitable causes.
